B.K.O.H-Who We Are .

Brothers' Keepers of Haiti ,Inc. is a 501 C3 nonprofit, humanitarian organization created in February 2016 with the objective to change lives of our brothers and sisters living in desperate situations, in rural areas of Haiti. Our donations come from our members, friends,  family and donors both in Haiti and the United States who believe in our mission. We concentrate our activities in Jacmel, Cayes-Jacmel, and the village of Orangers.

Mission Statement

We passionately cultivate empathy, compassion, promote serving the less fortunate, and care for the wellbeing of our brothers and sisters in their tri-dimensional realm as commanded by Christ our Savior.

Vision Statement

To transform and bring about changes resulting in the emergence of a new generation in good health, full of hope, and bearing the fruits of the Holy Spirit

Our Objective

Our objective is to change the lives of our brothers and sisters living with those desperate needs, in rural areas of Haiti using a tri-dimensional approach targeting mind, body and spirit.

Mind

Our organization provides schooling and after school tutoring  to 45 children. We plan   to start in the future  introduction to basic computer skills.

We intend also in the mid to long term to build a Christian Academy where disadvantaged youth and children of the village of Orangers and Jacmel will receive a solid education. This academy will be able to serve 200 children and teenagers. We plan to equip the facility with a modern library and continuous internet access. In the long term, the academy will offer room and board for its students throughout the academic year as we plan to build dormitories 2 to 5 years after the start of the project. We also hope in the same period to provide introductory technical skills classes in plumbing, electricity, dressmaking, woodworking, mechanics and construction.

Body & Spirit

 Body

Knowing that man cannot reach their full potential without optimal physical health, Brothers Keepers envisions the following:

In the short term, provide consistently basic and emergency medical supplies and  light equipment to hospitals in Jacmel and Cayes-Jacmel.

We organize medical missions lead by health care professionals living and working in the U.S to offer periodically basic and specialized care .We  run mobile clinics to outreach services to villagers living in hard to access rural areas. All medicines needed by the patients are free of charge

We will also run vaccination campaigns throughout the year.

Spirit

As a Christian organization Brothers Keepers strives to promote the values of respect, tolerance and high moral standards .We also work tirelessly to spread the Gospel through role modeling and everyday interactions. Formal evangelization through weekly radio broadcasts focusing on the Gospel will ensure our youth also meet all their spiritual needs.
